Smstexter Memloy, the new loyalty/membership//id system from Limerick's Abbeycrest Traders, has been described as the "seriously cheaper alternative to player tracking".
Abbeycrest Traders, who brought us the sms redeemable text voucher system last year, launched their new system at the Irish show in March 2013 and have sold over 40 of these systems to date.
The system is a low cost loyalty, membership and id system rolled into one. Customer details including photo are entered into the system and they are issued with a printed barcode which they can stick on anywhere, e.g. mobile phone.
They can swipe it once per day and get loyalty points which they can redeem once they reach their threshold.
You can also scan in their id, which is essential for private member cards. All customer details appear on screen when they swipe. Comprehensive and extensive reporting is also a major feature.
Roger Bourke, Abbeycrest Traders MD states, "We sold over 100 of our sms redeemable text voucher systems in Ireland in the past year and after listening to our customers requests for a cheaper alternative to very expensive player tracking systems and also some customers who were opening private member card rooms were looking for a low cost membership/id system to stay within the law, we came up with one system that did the lot!"
Abbeycrest's customers appear to be happy with it, as Joe Devito of Funplace Arklow & Wexford, says "Abbeycrest's new loyalty/membership/id system is extremely beneficial to us. Our customer benefits from getting loyalty points per visit and it is a great way of encouraging customer's to come back". Ardee Leisure's Damien McCoy said, "Since we installed the system we have found it a great way of giving something back to the customer for their loyalty, which you now have to do in these times. You can also give your higher spending customers more loyalty points to reward them more. Compared to more traditional expensive player tracking systems, this has to be the seriously cheaper alternative!"s
